The smells of home change dramatically when your dealing with cancer, I grew to hate sanitizer. It actually makes me feel sick because of what it reminds me of. Fortunately for us that’s not our smell of home, in fact I think my smell of Sunday is my smell of home. The smell of roast beef cooking, now that’s home to me. Not so for my Andie though, her smell of Home is pan cakes. So that’s what we did tonight, we made Andies now home smell like her home when she was a little girl on shrove Tuesday.
Aparentley Andies mum was the best at flipping them, all in the wrist action which I am inclined to agree with. I like mine a bit thick while Andie likes hers a bit thinner. I did Andies first, she wanted maple syrup with hers so I followed suit. I never had them with maple syrup before, but I have to say I enjoyed them.
Pancake Tuesday did end up being a flop after all, only the flop was on the plate.
I just hope Liverpool get on top of West Ham in the second half so we can go to wood park and play Blackburn.
What did you have your pancakes with tonight?

Ah,now I’m craving pancakes. Need to learn how to make them right though. My smell of home would be deep fried potatoe wedges. I love them!
Sorry about the game. That was a painful way to get out of the cup.

No,I’m from/in Kenya…English Premier League is a big thing here. Costs me about 12% of my salary every month to get the live games…but that is yet to stop anyone!

The cost of the internet is fairly better…but best only if in the big cities. I live in a small town…enjoy the beach, but it’s cheaper to get digital tv here than it is to get internet connection good enough to stream football.

Pretty good effort with those pancakes, Mark! I haven’t had pancakes in ages but I usually just top them with sliced bananas & strawberries 🙂

I like mine with freshly grated apples and sour cream 🙂
The story of the “smell” is so very true, shocking how sensitive one can get over it, needed to make some adjustments to make it easier.

I did not have pancakes. I ate my fat in the form of butter and bacon with fried potatoes and ham. I felt like being a rebel. Plus, I can’t make silver dollar pancakes like my dad did, so I don’t eat pancakes. Glad you tried maple syrup. It’s delicious.

Yes. One of my major regrets, never getting his pancake recipe!

It’s a shame, but is it not true pancake day could be held in his honour…? I don’t know just a thought?
